My name is Paul Germana. I was born in 1970 in Lake Charles, Louisiana . Music was always everything to me; even as a little boy, I thought I was Shaun Cassidy. Remember him girls?.......(Oh well, some of you do). I picked up the guitar when I was sixteen. My brother never used it, so I made it my own and played it until the frets were gone. From that first day I wrote songs and haven't stopped since. I love all music, but I write medleys and ballads. I'm not down with so-called artists making millions by warping the minds of children with gang bangin; zero respect. My melodies and lyrics express the fun and the freedom which I've been blessed to enjoy in this life. So many poor people never get the chance to relish all the nice things we do. I think we should try to keep this in mind as we live our daily lives. I was quite occupied as a youth, by the lure of partying and the thrill of songwriting. I left high school and got my GED later, after having some MORE fun. I don't regret any of those days; they made me who I am now. I think that being free to enjoy this life and all of it's many pleasures causes us to realize that, that is exactly what we were put here to do. Once we realize this, the world becomes a better place. I do believe that there is a serious side to life as well, but we just aren't there yet. I used to get angry at people who talked about right and wrong, yet would turn around and condone atrocities against the earth and it's inhabitants. I am still learning that these people really believe that what they are doing is right. I am also learning that when people are truly committed to what they think is good and right, much good comes out of it and many wrongs do get righted. For now that will have to be enough for me, just knowing there's still some good in the world; somewhere out there. I try not to sing about things that are too controversial. Not that I'm afraid of being bold or outspoken, but rather I just don't care enough about making any big difference in a world where so many people are trying to 'make a difference' just to get recognition. I feel like if the things that I'm singing about were taken more seriously, this world would be a better place; a much better place. When I write and sing and produce these songs, I feel everything I'm singing about. I'm completely immersed in the principles they express; well, one principle in particular...'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. Enjoy the music and don't let anyone tell you that love isn't strong enough to overcome the ills of this world. Best of luck!!!
